Get to know the leader
behind the coaching.
Eliot pairs a career built across nearly every role in sales with a coaching style rooted in helping clients move from the effect of their lives to the cause of them.
I’ve been in the coaching field for more than 15 years, and I came to Southwestern Consulting nearly a decade ago. I was invited to a seminar by a friend, and at the end they turned to me and said, “I really wanted you to hear this because of the way you change people’s lives already, and I think you’d be an amazing coach.”
I’ve held every role in sales imaginable: from sales rep to vice president of sales to entrepreneur.
I learned to take a 50,000-foot view on an industry and figure out the goal layout systems, processes, and sales targets. I also discovered how to expand into other parts of the industry that were otherwise undeveloped by the companies I was working with.
Because of my wide variety of roles in sales, I grew a depth of knowledge about running, selling, importing, and exporting retail. While running my own businesses, I held every leadership role you can imagine in sales and management, so I’ve walked in the same shoes of my clients.
I was a business builder for every company I worked for. I helped take companies from $4 million to $22 million in revenue in just two years. That’s what employers brought me in to do; when they needed to penetrate a new market, they knew I could help make it happen. I was also an expert relationship builder because, at its core, sales is often about building strong, lasting relationships.
I love helping them shift to a place of choice and move from being at the effect of their lives to being at the cause of their lives.
They gain a better understanding of how to adjust that perspective, simplify their lives, and simplify the decisions they need to make in order to reach the goals they want to achieve, whether those goals are holistic, financial, or purposeful.
Ultimately, it’s about fulfillment, happiness, and living a life worth living.
To be fair and honest, I have an uncanny ability to understand people better than they typically understand themselves. The secret sauce is showing up transparently and vulnerably, showing them that I’m just as human as they are, and then helping them choose positivity over negativity.
I’ve created a symbiotic relationship with my clients where I care about them very much, and they feel and know that. There’s no part of what I do that is about me teaching them or teaching them a curriculum. We build it together. This way, they feel empowered by their own choices, and I neither become the champion nor the perpetrator.
I feel as if my life as a coach was not a choice I made; it was fulfilling a destiny that was created within me. Helping empower people and helping them understand that their value, as every piece of who they are, whether they are an owner, husband, wife, parent, child, or simply a human being, fulfills me, increases my energy, and allows me to end each day knowing I’m living into what was meant for me.
Anyone who meets me understands that I’m living a fulfilled life because I’m changing people’s lives by inspiring them and helping them get into the driver’s seat for themselves. If I can have that kind of impact on anyone, whether through life coaching, business coaching, career coaching, couples coaching, or any kind of coaching, then I know I’m living a life fulfilled.
