About Jordan Richardson
Certified Student Coach Jordan Richardson has a diverse background and a passion for both education and coaching. In high school, she was heavily involved in sports, marching band, and student council and achieved the distinguished title of Valedictorian.
After high school, Jordan earned a degree in nursing from Baylor University in just three and a half years. While working as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit, Jordan continued her education and received her master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas. With a career in the medical field that spanned the course of nine years, both as a nurse and a family nurse practitioner, Jordan demonstrated her dedication to personal and professional growth.
After her time as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jordan embarked on a new journey – embracing the role of a homeschooling mother to her three children. Beyond her commitment to developing her own children, Jordan became increasingly more involved in her local church guiding the youth into their next steps.
Jordan firmly believes in the transformative power of coaching, drawing from her own experiences in applying coaching principles within her family. She sees coaching as a profound tool capable of reaching the core of an individual’s mindset, emotions, and beliefs, thus enabling substantial personal growth.
Jordan emphasizes that coaching goes beyond mere habit change; it’s about nurturing positive thoughts, emotional management, and resilience, particularly crucial for children in their formative years. She advocates that by instilling this foundation, individuals, especially youngsters, can embark on a journey towards fulfillment, success, and holistic development.
Jordan and her husband, Brandon, reside in rural northeast Texas surrounded by a community they have fallen in love with. As a cohesive family unit, they find joy in exploring the world through travel, experiencing the serenity of camping under open skies, and immersing themselves in the wonders of the great outdoors. Indoors, they share a passion for reading, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of books. With an affinity for culinary delights, they bond over the pleasures of good food. They also enthusiastically cheer on their Baylor Bears in all athletic endeavors.
Jordan’s journey is driven by a desire to empower others and make a difference in their lives. One of Jordan’s favorite quotes is from author Andy Stanley who states, “You will never maximize your potential in any area without coaching. It is impossible. You may be good. You may even be better than everyone else. But without outside input, you will never be as good as you could be.”
What is Student Coaching?
The Student Coaching program pairs students (ages 13-21) with a highly-trained student coach to hone in on their unique growth areas and equip them with the real-world skills they need to succeed, both inside the classroom and beyond. In addition to 1:1 coaching calls, they work together through training modules, assessments, videos, and more as part of our Student’s Edge curriculum. Parents are kept appraised of progress milestones with frequent progress reports.
