Meet Dan
As a sales consultant for Southwestern Consulting, Dan Simon has served Fortune 500 companies, global enterprises, and startups in both hunter and farmer roles, earning President’s Club recognition in both. His career spans legal and compliance technology, HR and recruiting, cybersecurity, real estate investing, and financial services. Dan has a black belt in karate and one in sales… in that order.
Dan’s selling career began with Southwestern Advantage, where he spent seven summers selling books door to door while earning his B.A. in Business Administration from the College of William & Mary. He earned President’s Club, President’s Special Recommendation, and Top Salesman recognition during his time with the program, and the discipline and grit he developed then have never left him. He later earned a dual MBA through a joint program between the University of Georgia and Nyenrode Business Universiteit in the Netherlands and holds the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) credential from iPEC.
As a coach, Dan is drawn to the moment when something clicks for a client, like when a salesperson who has been stuck finds their footing, or a manager builds a team that performs without constant supervision. He works with clients across industries including real estate, financial services, technology, professional services, and home services, with a focus on prospecting consistency, discovery conversations, and sustained motivation.
Dan lives in Torrance, California, with his wife Cathy. Together they sing with the Agape International Choir and share a love of languages, travel, and the world’s cultures, and they pour themselves into the life of their goddaughter, who gives as much as she receives.
