Katie began her sales career working for the Southwestern Advantage college program in 2012. She sold educational materials for four years, relocated to four different states, knocked on more than 20,000 doors, worked on straight commission, and recruited a top-performing team. During that time, she ranked 26th out of more than 2,000 first-year salespeople.
During her career with Southwestern Advantage, Katie personally conducted more than 400 one-on-one interviews. She not only recruited top teams but also recruited the #1 first-year salesperson in the company in 2014.
Katie has earned the Spencer Hayes Award—the highest award in recruiting at Southwestern Advantage, which is the oldest direct selling company in the United States. She also received the Gold Certification in sales and recruiting, progressing through sales management positions rapidly with a record of outstanding organizational growth and exceptional individual sales performance.
Katie graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in International Business and Spanish. Her passion comes from being able to help others reach new potential and expand their positive mentality. One of Katie’s favorite affirmations is, “Hope is a combination of setting goals, having the tenacity and perseverance to pursue them, and believing in our own abilities.”
In her spare time, Katie loves being active and enjoys running and watersports. She currently resides in Florida.

Professional development and coaching is an absolute must. For the last four years, Katie Hasson has held me accountable to my goals, acting as coach and friend. Over the past several years I have had the pleasure of having Katie as my Business Coach. It was tough at first with me being so A.D.D. and scatterbrained for all of the things going on my career, but Katie has truly shown her ability to shift with me in addition to the expert ability she has to reign me back in and keep me on track. I started with SWC coaching in 2016 as a producing Agent because I wanted to get “updated and modern” sales training. My initial sales training was in the 1980s, and after success as a stockbroker for a few years, I went into management and then wholesaling for the next 20 years. I returned to retail sales in 2014 and by 2016 was convinced that coaching was a benefit. With Nick Barnett’s help, we increased my sales and made a good case for me to be promoted to General Agent in 2017.
When I took over the Agency, I spent the first couple years in a structured environment where I was managed closely. I discontinued the coaching because I was in the company’s training program and was accountable to my Field Director. When the company management was reorganized, I was no longer under the old system, and I needed guidance on how to improve my recruiting efforts and manage the Agency better.
I have been very pleased with Katie Hasson. She keeps me accountable when I drift and does a great job of helping me understand how to communicate with younger people. She is very good at helping me set goals and understands what my priorities are. She keeps our calls interesting with many new topics, and she doesn’t hesitate to meet me where I am on a certain day.
