At Southwestern Consulting, we have been helping people achieve their goals in life since 2006 through 1:1 coaching. Throughout the years, we’ve found that what you put into the coaching program strongly correlates with what you’ll get out of it. Get the most out of your coaching program by providing you with 6 key guidelines for success:
1. Prioritize the time scheduled with your Southwestern Coaching Certified Sales and Leadership Coach.
Be on time, in front of a computer, free from distractions, and prepared for each call. If you need to reschedule your call, give your coach at least 24-hours notice.
2. Read the recommended resources.
As part of your Coaching Program, you will receive a Welcome Box that includes a selection of books and tools to help you excel in coaching. During each session, your coach will also suggest relevant resources on the topics being covered. These suggestions will further enforce the success principles and strategies you are working on with your coach and empower you to implement them into your day-to-day life.
3. Study the modules and watch the videos.
Your Certified Sales and Leadership Coach will be sending you modular training that corresponds with your coaching calls. After each call, you will receive training videos featuring our Top Producers and Executive-Level Sales and Leader Coaches. These videos, which will directly correspond to the training module you are working on, are a great way to hone your skills and dig deeper into each topic.
4. Log your Critical Success Factors (CSFs).
In the next few weeks, you will work directly with your Sales and Leadership Coach to create your own personal CSFs. You will be given access to this online tool to track your daily activity. It’s not surprising that our most successful clients are those who utilize this tool to maximize results.
5. Do your homework.
The end of each coaching call is only the beginning. The real work starts when you put in the activity and the focus needed to see real change. Each call will be connected to specific activities designed to help you achieve your goals.
6. Commit.
Real change requires real work. Real work requires the character and tenacity to persevere when the going gets tough. You signed up for coaching to gain accountability, which your coach will provide. Decide today that you are coachable, you are committed, and you will not give up when the pressure is on.
We are confident that if you follow these six guidelines for success, you will see the results of a Top Producer!
