Laure is a professional Sales and Leadership Coach with a track record of providing strategic vision, strategy, and leadership for mission-critical growth, organizational performance, and sales and fundraising teams. As an innovative, entrepreneurial leader, Laure serves as a trusted advisor to hundreds of high net-worth individuals and businesses of all sizes. She is positive and maintains a can-do attitude.
In this role, she enjoys championing mission, vision, and organizational messages to achieve business and nonprofit objectives and goals. Her experience in entrepreneurial, turnaround, and growth stage environments gave her expertise in creating vision, long-range strategies, and comprehensive plans for a variety of contexts such as retail environments, sales organizations, and fundraising teams.
Her sales experience was developed in college when she sold books door-to-door. Laure sold six summers to pay for her college education. She not only received many top awards, but she recruited and led sales teams for five of the six summers she sold books. These years helped shape her work ethic, relational skills, and leadership abilities which prepared her for the role of executive director for faith-based pregnancy help centers, and as a field consultant for a national affiliation organization of more than 600 pregnancy-related service centers.
In addition to running her own businesses, she initiated and completed a strategic turnaround for her family’s business, a manufacturer’s sales representative group in Denver, CO. While working with the family firm, she served as territory sales representative, sales manager, and president, more than doubling company-wide sales her first year of leadership. Laure grew the independent sales force from three to 12 representatives, and expanded their sales territory from five to seven states.
Following her time with the family business, she became a territory sales lead for a large showroom in Atlanta’s Mart, serving 45 manufacturing vendors in the gift, toy, and home decor markets. Her first year, Laure grew territory sales by 149% and increased orders by 157% using a personal management system to track customer relationships and maintain regular customer communications. She was named Top Rookie Sales Rep that year, and subsequently received the Top Sales Rep award the following year for achieving 253% increase in prior year’s sales.
Taking her sales skills and leadership experience, she transitioned into a professional fundraising role at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), serving eight years in the high-profile roles of major gifts officer, capital campaign director of the university’s $100M Capital Campaign, and in her final role as interim executive director of The UNCG Alumni Association.
More recently, Laure served as the vice president of development for two international faith-based nonprofits where she worked with high net-worth investors and professional fundraising teams between three and 10 persons.
In 2016, Laure established Work As Worship, Inc., a business and fundraising consultancy serving CEOs, business owners, C-suite executives and nonprofit leaders. In this capacity, and in addition to her sales and leadership coaching practice with Southwestern Consulting, Laure stewards a professional development program for high impact women of faith, and an executive business forum for CEOs and business owners.
Laure grew up on Florida’s east coast and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at The University of Florida and later received her MBA from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She and her best friend and husband, Philip, live in Atlanta, GA and have three grown children who are married to wonderful spouses, and seven adorable grandchildren. She enjoys reading leadership, business, and faith-oriented books, practicing hospitality, being with good friends and family, and spending time at the lake or the beach, aka her happy places.
