David Linsmeyer is a sales practitioner to his core. A respected partner, executive-level sales and leadership coach, and certified trainer for Southwestern Consulting, David holds Southwestern Coaching’s all-time record for most new client lives changed during a single campaign. In addition to being genuinely passionate about Southwestern’s mission of changing lives through coaching, he is an expert at helping both new and established business leaders and organizations identify their unique value propositions and develop their sales infrastructures.
As a sales practitioner and consistent top producer, David has spoken and trained more than 2,000 groups, companies, and organizations throughout his career. He has sold into and consulted across a range of industries including education, travel, aerospace, real estate, finance, healthcare, consumer products, and more—offering tactical expertise and strategic vision to each of his clients.
David received his bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University. Through his college summers, David cut his teeth in sales while selling books door-to-door for Southwestern Advantage. Along with being a top first-year producer and top experienced producer year over year, he served as an organizational leader—leading teams of 50+ in the field—and was an award-winning recruiter for the company.
David is a champion at everything he commits to. Upon joining the Southwestern Coaching team, he became the number one producing first-year coach of all-time and had the top revenue collected in the company during that same year. In 2017, David received the Extrallence Award, the most prestigious and coveted award given at Southwestern Consulting.
Beyond his successful career with Southwestern Consulting, David is a guest lecturer at his alma mater, Purdue University. He has also explored and lived in emerging markets throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, working on large-scale government initiatives aimed at providing skills development and training to local professionals. Through these experiences, David has learned not only how to influence executive-level decision-makers across linguistic and cultural barriers, but he has grown to understand and appreciate these barriers that so often divide us. To date, David has traveled to 43 different countries and holds a limited working proficiency in Arabic and Thai.
Though he is comfortable calling anywhere in the world home, David currently lives in Indianapolis with his amazing and supportive wife, Leyla, and their two children, Aeron and Gisele. Expats at heart, the couple has a vision of raising their kids in countless countries and spreading the Southwestern Consulting message all over the world.
