Meet John
John Owens is a Professional Sales and Leadership Coach with Southwestern Consulting and has nearly 15 years of expertise from the direct sales, automotive, real estate, and indirect materials supply industries. His ability to rise through the ranks in business throughout his tenure has set him apart from his peers in both accolades and experience.
John received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from the School of Business at Clemson University. While attending university, he was able to utilize his schedule to work full-time jobs during the year and intern during the summers. One internship with Southwestern Advantage allowed him to grow thick skin, become coachable, be held accountable, and would prove the most beneficial to his later successes.
His keen leadership and mentoring capabilities have led the way for him to train up several record-breaking sales teams over his tenure. John is fired up by being able to serve people who are motivated to become better at whatever it is they call work. Helping professionals be coachable, committed, and ready for change is the fuel for that fire in John.
Most important to John is his growing family. With his wife, Samantha, they have three young, beautiful children that keep them very busy every day. When not serving others in business, John loves to pretend to be good at golf and fish the many lakes in the Carolinas. Living in God’s country of the upstate of South Carolina keeps John grounded to real people and helps him bring that authenticity to his clients. Although, having lived in the mountains and the rural coast of North Carolina, the cities of Atlanta and Dallas, and a short stint along the eastern coast of Australia doesn’t hurt in connecting with people from all over the world.
