About Albert Kong
Albert Kong is a multi-talented certified Student Coach who has a passion for making significant impact on the world around him. Born in Los Angeles, Albert discovered his passion for teaching while working as a private and commercial tutor throughout high school and college. He continued to hone his skills as a mentor to underclassmen students through campus ministries and his local church while attending University of California Los Angeles.
Albert’s commitment to serving others extends beyond the classroom, as he has participated in mission endeavors both locally and abroad. One of his proudest accomplishments is his role in the children’s television show “Hello Jack, the Kindness Show,” which models the power of kindness to inspire the next generation.
Albert and his wife Camila are making a difference in the lives of middle school students in Southeast Los Angeles. They are actively involved in an after-school program designed to bring awareness to different career paths and higher education opportunities. By sharing their knowledge and experience, they are helping to inspire and empower a demographic that is largely unaware of their potential. Through this work and service, Albert is making a positive impact on the next generation of leaders in Los Angeles.
What is Student Coaching?
The Student Coaching program pairs students (ages 13-21) with a highly-trained student coach to hone in on their unique growth areas and equip them with the real-world skills they need to succeed, both inside the classroom and beyond. In addition to 1:1 coaching calls, they work together through training modules, assessments, videos, and more as part of our Student’s Edge curriculum. Parents are kept appraised of progress milestones with frequent progress reports.
