Professional development and coaching is an absolute must. For the last four years, Katie Hasson has held me accountable to my goals, acting as coach and friend. She has not only helped me achieve my professional goals, but has helped me organize my life in a manner that allows me to focus on my personal priorities first. My income has increased each of the last four consecutive years, and Katie has become my insurance policy.

I’ve been coaching with Katie and Southwestern Consulting now for over a year. From 2020 to 2021 not only did I gain a number of new referral partners, I have  increased my average loan amount, met my high goal for volume and also met my consistent unit goal. Previously, I was not doing over a million per month ever, now that’s nothing – I had five months this year over $2 million! All of this lead to a 60.35% increase in my business!  Getting my team set up and getting out doing the work has contributed to my success and I think coaching helps me focus on the right things and keeps my momentum going. I feel like I’m constantly improving and better at staying on task…I was so excited to celebrate with my coach at our annual sales summit with not only hitting my best year in income but also earning my spot on our incentive trip! I definitely couldn’t have done that without Katie and the suggestions and accountability she provides.  I’m excited to continue to crush it again this year! 

Over the past several years I have had the pleasure of having Katie as my Business Coach. It was tough at first with me being so A.D.D. and scatterbrained for all of the things going on my career, but Katie has truly shown her ability to shift with me in addition to the expert ability she has to reign me back in and keep me on track. I have grown three separate business including my mortgage business over the past years under her guidance and coaching and would recommend her to any higher-level producer and furthermore to extreme Entrepreneurs like myself.

I started with SWC coaching in 2016 as a producing Agent because I wanted to get “updated and modern” sales training.  My initial sales training was in the 1980s, and after success as a stockbroker for a few years, I went into management and then wholesaling for the next 20 years.  I returned to retail sales in 2014 and by 2016 was convinced that coaching was a benefit.  With Nick Barnett’s help, we increased my sales and made a good case for me to be promoted to General Agent in 2017.  

When I took over the Agency, I spent the first couple years in a structured environment where I was managed closely.  I discontinued the coaching because I was in the company’s training program and was accountable to my Field Director.  When the company management was reorganized, I was no longer under the old system, and I needed guidance on how to improve my recruiting efforts and manage the Agency better.   

I have been very pleased with Katie Hasson.  She keeps me accountable when I drift and does a great job of helping me understand how to communicate with younger people.  She is very good at helping me set goals and understands what my priorities are.  She keeps our calls interesting with many new topics, and she doesn’t hesitate to meet me where I am on a certain day.  I believe that she cares about me and my success.
