About Judy
As a professional Sales and Leadership Coach for Southwestern Consulting, Judy is forever a “student of sales” and loves the psychology behind the sale. She enjoys coaching others to understand the importance of these areas as well and helping clients reach their highest goals both in business and in their personal lives.
Judy graduated from Appalachian State University cum laude with a degree in industrial psychology and a minor in business management. Judy was a college athlete and part of the ASU cheerleading squad for three years. (Go Mountaineers!) Her foundation in sales began selling books door-to-door for three summers with the Southwestern Advantage college program, where she recruited two 20-person teams and finished in the Top 5% of sellers. She also sold fundraising products with the sister company, Southwestern Fundraising. This training prepared her to have additional success in the financial industry.
As the Business Development Director/Principal for Meteor Medical Messaging (a medical SaaS solution), Judy grew the business to 200+ physicians on a monthly subscription basis. The service reduced practice expenses 50-70% while decreasing patient follow-up times by 90%. Some of Judy’s additional career accomplishments include:
-
- Managing a 7-person sales team that operated from Maine to Florida
- Selling an IT service to medical practices in North Carolina and South Carolina
- Winning the Presidents Club trip every year of her sales career, as well as Elite Club trips with FISI Madison Financial
Outside of coaching, Judy has a heart for ministry and has worked seasonally for Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child. For the past six years, she has served as their volunteer manager, overseeing 15,000 volunteers in their largest processing center during the Christmas season. Judy has also traveled the last three years to Ukraine on a mission trip to help run a sports outreach camp.
The most appealing thing to me was being able to choose between becoming a better sales person with Top Producer’s Edge or becoming a better manager with Manager’s Edge. I am excited to celebrate my people and share that last month three of the four agents on my team were in the top #5 in our market out of 250 agents. October 2021 will be my best month ever in eight years of real estate. I credit a lot of that to the work we did to create the Creed and our Vision boards. Simply put, with the Creed and our vision boards- work is easier and more fun. These two things have helped us find our “WHY” to keep swinging the bat on days you do not feel like it. The accountability has helped me to take action. I hate to show up to calls not having done the action items. If you do the work, you will experience growth.

With SWC I am creating a schedule, setting goals and then reverse engineering the activity to get there. Doing the critical success factors which is tracking activity has helped me have the fastest start to the year I have ever had! My coach Judy Angel has helped hold me accountable. It is nice to have another voice other than just another Farm Bureau team member looking at my business. The material has not only helped me grow my business, but it has also helped me be a better manager and help my team excel.

Judy has been a great asset to my business. I have always said how important accountability was but I have never found an accountability partner that consistently held me accountable. Judy does that plus so much more. She offers so much insight on how I can grow my business and empowers me to help others grow their businesses. I am very thankful that our paths have crossed and that I have such an amazing AND Godly coach.
