About Saulo Marcos
For more than 15 years, Saulo has been helping people achieve extraordinary results in business and life. Saulo prides himself with having a diverse career in both the private and public sectors, and has sold, consulted, and held executive positions across a diverse range of industries including direct sales, construction, consumer products, education, NGOs, public health and more – collaborating with clients and colleagues to develop innovative yet easy to implement solutions to overcome business challenges.
As an SWC professional Sales and Leadership Coach, Saulo is eager to actively listen to his clients, and partner with them to develop a step-by-step plan to achieve success, whether that means increasing personal sales, leading high-performing teams, or attaining a more balanced life at the same time.
Saulo started his career in sales with Southwestern Advantage while he was a Business Administration student at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), selling educational products door to door on straight commission in Arizona, and went on to continue to recruit teams as a producing sales leader for a total of four years. While at SW Advantage, Saulo acquired success habits like self-motivation, self-discipline, how to “focus on the controllables,” and leading by example, which helped him develop a positive and problem-solving attitude, that played a major role in his career and style of leadership.
Saulo began developing his coaching style in 2011 as a Human Resources Business Partner at a medium-sized construction company, working closely with the CEO, COO, and CFO to implement systems to attract, develop and retain talent. He also has a process-based approach to solving problems, which he developed as a business consultant in his early years.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from PUCP, where he graduated with academic honors in both his undergraduate (magna cum laude) and MBA class (Beta Gamma Sigma member). He is currently enrolled at the PHD program in Public Policy and Government Management at the National Higher Education Center of the Peruvian Department of Defense.
In his spare time, Saulo loves spending time with his wife and their two small children, and enjoys visiting his parents on the weekends. His favorite part of the day is picking up his daughter from school. He is a big rock music fan, attending over 100 live concerts (and counting) from classic artists like Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and Queen to contemporary bands like Foo Fighters and Muse, and has seen Metallica a whopping 26 times in six different countries! He also plays the electric bass and sings occasionally.
