Summary

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating new content and promoting existing product content that resonates with our audience and brand message. This role requires an understanding of various publishing and design programs and in-house content management tools. This position requires someone with solid organizational skills for scheduling the rollout of campaign content to maintain a continuous presence and reinforce brand awareness. The Marketing Specialist also will develop communications content that positions the value of new and existing products and develop tools that facilitate the sales process. This role provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Create free resources such as e-books, whitepapers, infographics, guides, blogs, etc. each month to drive leads, subscribers, and increase awareness
  • Collaborate with marketing team on blogging and email marketing strategies
  • Uphold standards in the SWC Style Guide
  • Develop lead generation magnets that drive sales and recruiting leads
  • Develop, manage, and optimize email marketing campaigns and automation series – including running email marketing campaigns end-to-end, managing email databases, and creating and sending emails and newsletters.
  • Produce content that helps to grow our social media and email subscriber base
  • Work with designers, the marketing team, sales, and business leaders to achieve business objectives
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures
  • Strategically support product and feature launches
  • Produce monthly Mastermind webinar including the promotion, planning, and execution
  • Produce and update all internal and external facing training videos
  • Develops a wide variety of brand consistent, engaging content for both internal and external audiences
  • Analyze and utilize consumer feedback to aid in the development and improvement of the user and member experience.
  • Serves as an advocate for other operations project owners and assists them in brainstorming, planning, and prioritizing as appropriate—ensuring that creative/messaging is on target with company brand marketing goals.
  • Help with the research and development of high impact external communications
  • Carries out market research in order to keep up to date with consumer and industry trends
  • Helps company leaders ensure that all staff decision-makers have been included, as necessary, in new and developing projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Broadcasting, or related area of study preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the areas of audio visual and video production
  • Ability to produce a portfolio of work that includes corporate and training videos
  • Willingness to learn and promote SWC’s principles

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing-related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6 years of experience producing content for web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), web content management systems, project management software, social media management software, HTML, SEO, and Google Analytics
  • Ability to understand customers, solutions, and the buyer’s journey and applicable marketing strategies
  • Experience building online audiences
  • Ability to efficiently manage time with multiple concurrent projects and priorities in order to meet deadlines while accomplishing daily tasks
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
